From Macedonia comes this charming little sage with leaves so fine cut and hirsute that they are quite feathery. One of a very few salvias for the rock garden with its compact nature and spikes of violet-blue flowers. Best to plant next to plants that will need a bit more room later in the summer as it seems to nearly go dormant at that time. Has been perfectly hardy here, zone 5.
