A rare form of a not too common tree which in this case has the cream-colored flowers (honey-scented and borne in great abundance in late summer when it buzzes with activity) flushed with rose-violet panicles of flowers. Offered perhaps not so much for its flower color as its later blooming habit, thicker glossier foliage and better disease resistance in my opinion. Can be a tall tree but is usually medium sized. Zone 4.
